USATF Colorado Thanks 2011 Participants and Posts 2012 Championship Race Application
USATF Colorado wishes to extend a giant thank you to races partnering with them in 2011. The Stadium Stampede 5K, Evergreen Town Race 10K, Heart & Sole Half Marathon, Lead King Loop 25K, and Boulder Marathon all served as state championships this year and made tremendous contributions to USATF Colorado and to the athletes they serve. Their support of competitive running within the state of Colorado is admirable and USATF Colorado and the state's runners thank them, their volunteers, and their sponsors. A huge thank you also goes to the runners that supported these races and to those that joined USATF Colorado. As promised though, USATF Colorado will expand their reach in 2012 and continue to improve their work within the state.

The organization looks forward to providing greater incentives for Colorado runners to join USATF in the coming year and to becoming more active on the road, mountain, and trail race scenes.
The coming year promises to be a good one and USATF Colorado invites any Colorado race to take part in this excitement by applying to be an official 2012 USATF Colorado state championship. The championship application is now available here. Applications are due back to USATF Colorado by December 9 and selections will be announced December 14.
Of note within the applications, 2011 championship events have the right of first refusal at that distance for 2012.
