Coach Ivory Joe Hunt Inducted into the Adams State College Hall of Fame

Ivory Joe Hunt was inducted into the Adams State College Hall of Fame on September 18, 2009.

He was a Four-time All American Sprinter.
Nine-time RMAC Champion.
Was the top sprinter in Colorado 1977 - 80.
Set the ASC 100 M Record 10.19.
Holds the third fastest time ever ran in Colorado Collegiate history.
Played four years of Football for ASC.
Set record for the longest interception return.
Served as a Student Assistant Coach for both Football and Track & Field teams while finishing his degree.
Graduated in 1982 with a degree in Health, Physical Education,& Recreation.
He has taught P.E. in Colorado Springs the past 27 years, presently at Penrose Elementary.


He was the Head Track and Field coach at Mitchell High School for nineteen years, and the middle schools for thirteen years.
Lead the Marauders to a third place finish in 1997 at the 5A Colorado State Track & Field Championships.
He has coached numerous State Championship athletics, in sprints and relays.
He coached the great TiaNeicia Mosley in middle school.
He was Coach of the Year at the Runners Roast Track and Field Invitational.
He is a native of Terrell, Texas.


We offer sprint analysis, speed & agility training as well as conditioning. We do this in private, semi-private, and team sessions. We also have great camps throughout the year!

We charge $100 per session for up to 4 people. We charge $125 for small team of 10.

Dan Pierce

Dan Pierce was the recipeint of USA Track and Field's President's Award presented each year to individuals who have served that organization through the years with distinction. He has been the national chairman for race walking and was formerly a USA international team member. He has been prominent in the race walk scene for about 25 years and set the US record for the 100K walk at 9 hours 36 minutes in 1987. We are lucky to have him living in our area as a coach and judge. Another recipient was Captian Kevin Eastler who dazzled our local walkers with his blazing speed during his undergraduate days at the Air Force Academy up to about 2000. Kevin was not only named 2004 Air Force jMale Athlete of the yuear, but was also recognized as the best race walker in the USA by USA Track & Field for that year Look for him in the upcoming Olympic Games in August. Congratulations to both these very fine athletes.

Dennie Dorrall

Dennie Dorrall is an instructor of Racewalking, with Specialized training for Arthritis, Lupus and MS, and Osteoporosis. She has taught throughout the Community Colleges and local Park and Recreation Facilities in the Front Range area.
